Venue

Excel is a large venue and the central boulevard is 600m long. All public entrances allow for access by wheelchair via low gradient ramps and an automatic door. Once inside the venue, all floors are level, offering unobstructed access.  To find out more about:

Seating

There are plenty of options at the show when it comes to finding a space to rest.  Not only are there ample numbers of seats in each of our theatres, you can also make your way to the Show Café, as well as any seating area inside the hall. Outside the hall, find seating in the boulevard, where Excel has designated fixed seating areas built into the venue. There’s also a dedicated family room near S9 with seating for breastfeeding, for anyone who needs it.

Seminar Timings

We appreciate that SITS is a large event and it can be difficult to make your way from one seminar session to the other without missing any of the content. That’s why you’ll get 20 minutes between sessions.

Baby Changing Facilities

There are baby changing facilities on level 0 in both the male and female toilets in the boulevard. The family room can be found by S9. Inside has two changing mats, chairs for breastfeeding, a microwave to heat up baby food and a bottle warmer. It also contains a sink and toilet.

Food

Excel has plenty of food and drink on site, so there’s no need to leave the venue between sessions. The main boulevard offers everything from pizza and burgers to poke bowls, ramen and coffee with fresh pastries, while The Bridge Bar serves full dining including steaks and vegan options. You will also find food inside the show hall, from food stands to the Show Café.

Wi-Fi

Excel offers free, fast Wi-Fi throughout the venue, so you can stay connected while you’re at the show. Simply sign in to “Excel VISITOR ONLY Free Wi-Fi” on arrival using the standard login, or sign in via LinkedIn or email.

Sound

Each theatre at SITS will be fitted with a hearing loop system. This will ensure the session content is accessible to anyone who uses hearing aids.

Water Refill

There are 4 water refill stations in Excel by the East and West Entrances and by halls S4 and S7.

Toilets

Accessible toilets are available throughout Excel. Inside the SITS hall there are three toilets at the back of the hall including wheelchair accessible toilets as well as gender neutral and male and female ones.

Accessible Registration Desk

We have a low-level registration desk for those who may require it.

Multi Faith Prayer Room

Multi-Faith Prayer room can be accessed through the grey door next to the S9 entrance on the boulevard.

Cloakroom

Venue cloakrooms are open during event hours and are on level 0 (down the stairs, in between hall entrances N4 & S4) and at the east end of the venue on level 0. Please note Excel are unable to store any items overnight and cameras, laptop equipment or any other electronic devices cannot be stored in the cloakroom at any time.

Pronouns

SITS is giving attendees the chance to choose if they would like to add pronouns to their visitor badge.  We believe this will create a more inclusive environment, showing respect for individuals’ gender identities.
