Please be aware that SITS – The Service Desk & IT Support Show (SITS) has been targeted by groups trying to take advantage of the event’s size and success. Some exhibitors are receiving numerous phone calls and email messages from individuals offering various services from fake exhibition directories and show data, to travel/hotel arrangements and transportation services.
SITS – The Service Desk & IT Support Show and its official suppliers NEVER sell their visitor lists. A list of Approved Suppliers can be found within your online exhibitor manual or by emailing [email protected]. Organisations offering attendee lists or other services, are not affiliated with the exhibition in any way. Please do not enter into any agreements with these companies as they are usually scams, and do not represent SITS – The Service Desk & IT Support Show.
If you are in doubt about the validity of an email, or someone contacting you on our behalf, please email [email protected]. As a simple check, you can double-click on the email address to confirm the email originator. A valid email will be from ‘@divcom.co.uk’ – if you’re ever in doubt, please check the Approved Suppliers list within the online Exhibitor Manual, or contact us directly.
EXPO GUIDE / FAIRGUIDE SCAM
Expo-Guide and Fairguide.com regularly publicise their services to exhibitors at events. Both companies use a misleading form, which resembles an organiser’s Free Showguide Listing Service, inviting exhibitors to sign and return the form for an entry in an on-line directory. Doing so contracts the purchaser into the three-year, non-retractable agreement. DO NOT SIGN ANY CONTRACTS WITH THIS ORGANISATION. For more information click here.
HOTEL BOOKING SCAM
There are a number of companies that are fraudulently contacting our exhibitors offering hotel booking services on our behalf (only for exhibitors to later find their bookings do not exist). Please proceed with caution when using any unknown companies and please ensure you check them out fully before making any booking commitments. SITS does not have any agreements or preferential rates set up with local hotels.
DATA LIST SCAM
There are a number of companies claiming to have our show attendee and pre-registered lists to current and previous events. Due to data protection, we do not sell our data lists, so any data they do have will not be connected to SITS – The Service Desk & IT Support Show. DO NOT PURCHASE THESE DATA LISTS.
If you receive any emails or calls pertaining to any of the above scams, please contact Sam Sloan.
