With the final preparations now well underway, SITS – The Service Desk & IT Support Show is back at Olympia London next week – showcasing what’s new and next in the world of IT service management.

Kicking off at 9.30am on Tuesday 5 June, the show is set to welcome thousands of IT and ITSM professionals from around the UK looking to transform, improve and evolve their service desk capabilities.  Visitors will benefit from a world-class free tailored education programme in four dedicated theatres, two panel debates, 24 facilitated roundtable discussions, two essential breakfast briefings, and over 200 products and services from 75 leading industry suppliers.

Netflix, Airbnb, Cynefin Centre, AXELOS Best Practice, SDI and Dr Sue Black OBE are set to deliver exclusive case-studies and topical debates in the Keynote Theatre. Whilst the comprehensive seminar programme will include sessions from NHS Digital, Forrester, Liverpool City Council, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, TOPdesk, Bomgar, Syniad IT, Axios Systems, CompTIA and more.

As in previous year’s, the Keynote will also host two lively panel discussions, which will explore the questions ‘are we still ignoring the power of people in IT?’ (facilitated by James West, editor of SITS Insight) and ‘which framework is right for your business, and why’ (facilitated by Duncan Watkins, senior consultant at Forrester).

New tools and innovations

The central exhibition will feature specialist vendors, integrators, consultancies and service providers offering the best IT solutions on the market – ranging from automation tools, IT security, and cloud technology, to customer experience services, and network management tools. New exhibitors for 2018 include: Peoplecert, Micro Focus, Perspectium, LeanTech, MarXtar, LapSafe self-service, Real VNC, Tools4ever, and Samanage.  They’ll be joining returning big names like Ivanti, Alemba, Hornbill, Marval, ServiceNow, Freshdesk, TOPdesk, and Syniad IT.

The following is just a taste of the new tools and services on show for 2018:

Simplisys is demonstrating version 6.0 due to be released Q3 2018.  Version 6.0 takes Service Desk Metrics to a new level and includes a new web-based report builder, interactive personal dashboards and ability to publish reports in real time to third party systems out of the box (stand 710).

SysAid is previewing Chatty Joe, a new chatbot that’ll be used to streamline knowledge from IT to users, 24/7, via a familiar chat interface enhanced with the friendly and iconic Joe the IT Guy.  Next phase includes assistance in submitting tickets (stand 500).

NetHelpDesk is launching its new coreITSM and corePSA solutions.  With built-in ITIL best practices, NetHelpDesk provides functionality including: service catalogue, CMDB, incident, change, problem, knowledge management and market leading drill-down dashboards (stand 200).

Vivantio is launching Vivantio FLEX, a new user interface which allows for easy configurability of entire service management operations.  This helps to put the user in control of system views and processes for entire organisations, departments and even individual technicians and tickets.  IT, HR, finance, facilities and other groups can all improve service levels using the same system (stand 540).

ComAround is launching ComAround Knowledge™ for Windows 10, an intuitive solution specifically designed for knowledge driven self-service.  The self-service portal has interface and functionality, which can help empower users with the knowledge they need for a successful journey into the digital workplace (stand 770).

Kelverion is introducing the latest version of the Kelverion Runbook Studio for service desk automation.  With easy to use graphical based runbooks, users can monitor and manage automation resources from one platform, providing a simple yet integrated process for users (stand 700).

Ivanti is promoting its ‘Women in Tech’ initiative, an online and face-to face community for women working in all areas of the technology sector.  An advocate for women in tech, Sue Black OBE will be on the Ivanti stand after her Keynote for networking and advice – where prosecco and canapes will be provided from 3pm on Tuesday 5 June (stand 310).

Sunrise Software is showcasing its new feature Compliance Assist for ITSM, HR and MSP, which enables organisations to identify, report and redact personal data, with full audit trail, aiding ‘Right to Be Forgotten’ requests (stand 260).

ServiceNow is showcasing its new artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities at the show.  ServiceNow’s new conversational bot technology, “Virtual Agent,” will improve customer and employee experiences with fast, real-time automated resolutions and personalised responses in context (stand 360).

Kaseya is presenting its recently launched Kaseya One dashboard, which enables users to quickly and easily gain insight into their network for complete IT infrastructure management.   Kaseya One provides a unified interface and delivers role-based, bird’s eye views of infrastructure monitoring that empowers users to quickly and decisively drill down into tasks or potential problem areas and gain critical insights into the inner workings of their Kaseya deployment (stand 120).

TOPdesk is exhibiting its new, flexible asset management module that shows the relationships of all assets in a graphical overview.  Other highlights include a Kanban-style board within call management and further optimisation to forms, knowledge items and reports, which makes its more mobile-friendly with a fully responsive SSP.  Visitors can also be in the chance of winning a workplace visit from a massage therapist (stand 510).

Vision Helpdesk is presenting its new Vision Helpdesk V5 version.  The responsive design and advance features offers ITIL/ITSM compliant incident, problem, change, release, asset/CMDB management, service catalog and more (stand 920).

Service-Flow is promoting OneiO Global integration hub OneiO, a technology agnostic integration hub.  It is a cloud-based SaaS solution, which brings together different processes and platforms into one transparent and seamless entity enabling digital transformation.  

MarXtar is presenting its Enterprise Notifier –  Actionable NotificationsActionable “Closed Loop” Messaging allows ITSM systems to integrate auditable notifications that not only inform users and analysts but allow them to interact with the Service Desk (or other systems) without accessing a console, including pro-active service updates, change approvals, major incidents and more, without relying on email (stand 1015).

DXC Technology/DXC Fruition is presenting its new SAMI – ServiceNow Automated Messaging Interface.  SAMI is an AI business chatbot which intelligently solves problems for employees which in the past would have required input from a human, including HR enquiries such as holiday requests or helping to solve IT issues.  This helps to take the pressure off service desks while delivering 24/7 support (stand 470).

ASPG, Inc is showcasing ReACT v5.0 – an enterprise password reset and synchronization software solution aimed at protecting data and preventing data security breaches.  In alliance with GDPR requirements ReACT provides access control through multi-factor authentication, user hierarchy controls, password history, extensive audit reports and system logs (stand 940).

Alemba is showcasing the latest version of their vFire ITSM tool.  This release includes a new Resource Manager feature that allows managers to maximise team efficiency by resourcing staff based on availability and skill sets.  Further new functionality includes an updated vFire app and a new style interface (stand 220).

Everbridge is presenting ‘Smart Orchestration’ that expedites the response to critical IT events through intelligent-rules based workflow automation, minimizing the impact on IT operations, improving critical IT event assessment, communications and collaboration through automated workflows (stand 570).

Marval is showcasing its latest enterprise service management software solution, Marval MSM, has successfully passed the criteria for PinkVERIFY Toolsets, demonstrating 100% of the required functionality and documentation sets for all 16 Pink-defined ITIL processes (stand 430).

OTRS Group is presenting its full-service OTRS, a service management software platform with accompanying consulting, customisation and support components.  It offers customers a comprehensive Solution-as-a-Service for structured communication in customer service, IT service management and security management (stand 580).
