Visitor badge policy

Terms of entry to SITS – The Service Desk & IT Support Show:

Badge policy: I understand that by choosing to allow my badge to be scanned by an exhibitor or sponsor when at the event, I will be providing the exhibitor or sponsor with my personal data – your badge is effectively your electronic business card at the event.  When your badge is scanned, the exhibitor or sponsor will receive your name, address, email and telephone number, for the purpose of following up from the event.  Please only allow your badge to be scanned by companies which you wish to hear from post-event – allowing them to scan your badge is your way of opting into to receiving further information from them.

Please note: we, the organisers, will have to scan your badge at the entrance to the show, this is compulsory as we need to be aware of the amount of visitors in the event at any time, and you will also be scanned at the Infosecurity crossover point for the same purpose.

You will also be scanned at any seminars you attend, for the purpose of attendance. This information may also be used to send you follow up information from the session you attended. If you do not wish to receive follow up information, please make the theatre door staff aware that you do not wish for your badge to be scanned.
